LOVE this furniture store! My first time shopping in Home Living Furniture in Howell and I found exactly what I was looking for! Color, style, shape and price! On top of that my Sales Associate Sam was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions and helped me build the perfect size sectional that I needed. Sam had patience with me and went above and beyond to make sure I left a happy customer. I definitely will be shopping here again. I purchased this couch at a "Weekends Only" It was the same sectional but with a different name. This couch was and is still remarkable, from the massaging and heating features to the touchscreen control panel. I wish this unit wasn't discontinued.

I have purchased furniture before at Home Living and once again, Sam got us exactly what we were looking for. I have been looking for a dining room table for some time, as I am kind of picky and know exactly what I want. Sam was able to order one from a manufacturer that they did not have in their store! I can't wait until it arrives, hopefully by Christmas. Sadly the store is closing, which is upsetting because it truly does have the best selection around. I bought a simply beautiful custom select 89 inch sofa and a swivel glider. Lucy Chicarelli helped me pick out both and was instrumental in picking out beautiful colors. The couch was a beautiful vault grass color and the swivel glider a green matching color. I loved that there was a selection of the arms, back, base, and cover pillows for the couch. Love the furniture, great job in fixing a couple of concernbs

We received our furniture about 2 weeks ago. We love how it looks, and the fact that it is a power recliner with power headrests. We think it looks great in our home (see enclosed picture). We had 2 concerns regarding the furniture. First, we were promised a battery for the loveseat, to get rid of the wires required to plug it into the outlet on the wall. The battery was not included with the delivery. Second, one recliner on the loveseat developed a squeak when reclining. We are happy to say that our salesman, Ron, was able to arrange for the installers to come yesterday and deliver the battery and fix the recliner. They came on time, and were able to do both. We are very satisfied.

The Furniture and Customer Service are top notch A+

I almost bought this bedroom set from Ashley Furniture and happened to find this company, and it really looked like there was going to be a catch. Took a chance and started working with Ron, so glad I did, feel like a won the lottery, he saved me thousands of dollars. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture, very customer oriented, he even called me back later that evening learning there was a truck heading south next week, which saved me waiting 6 weeks for furniture. Not your typical pushy salesperson, was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. He kept me informed on any changes or issues that came up. I was feeling too guilty about the money I saved I went back to the salesperson I started working with him and showed him my receipt knowing he could not beat it and gave him a 50.00-dollar visa gift card. Any furniture needed in the future, this will be the first store I go to and hopefully Ron will still be there. Chaise Chairs

10 Star Review - The store kept me informed on the process of my order. I was called to set up delivery since I am out of state. On the delivery day - the delivery guys also called to keep me updated throughout the day. The delivery was running late and that was alright because they communicated that with me! When they arrived they carried the chaise chairs upstairs to the spa, unpackaged them, put them together, made sure everything was perfect, had me sign for the delivery, and then they even took the garbage with them. I was shocked - this is unheard of anymore. I will say I did pay $100 more per chaise compared to other stores but I guarantee I would never get this customer service anywhere else. I am in IL and I will definitely purchase from Home Living again just based on customer service alone. The delivery guys were professional, kind, and amazing! I did not catch their names but I want to be sure they are recognized for the job they do and know that they are very much appreciated. :) I won't buy furniture anywhere else. Overall, I love the piece. Fits perfectly in the space I purchased it for.

Here are things you should know. I thought I was buying a piece of Canadian made furniture. When it was brought in the house the tag said, "Made in Vietnam." The dimensions versus the actual piece are not as stated. It may be 42" across the crown but the actual dimension is 38 1/2". The 18" deep as stated in the measurements is actually 16" externally and 13 1/2" internally. I had 16" containers that I was hoping to place on the shelves. They will only fit sideways, not front to back as I had envisioned so I lost storage space through the incorrect dimensions. It may be 78", I didn't bother to check height. When I have time, I may touch up the paint. Knotholes and some other imperfections are visible. Just be aware of the dimensions, especially if you had specific plans for interior use.

Great Furniture Buying Experience

We just purchased new family room furniture today from Home Living. Our experience was so much better than all of the other furniture stores we have visited. Firstly, Sam Falcone, our salesman, was helpful but not pushy. We appreciated his knowledge about the stock, fabrics and availability, however he did not hover. The store itself had an enormous selection to choose from. and the quality seemed so much better. We ended up purchasing a set that we were able to customize with our choice of fabric. This was such a plus because we could not find in stock anywhere, the color that we were looking for. The price difference was not all that much, but it is a bonus being able to get exactly what we want. We also ordered an accent chair with a custom coordinating fabric. They had hundreds of fabric choices. We will receive our set in 8-10 weeks and cannot wait! It was such a nice experience and we will definitely be back for more furniture. BEST RECLINER FIVE STAR

I discovered this recliner on a visit to my Mothers house. She bought it for my 90 year old stepfather. Now I want one too. It is incredibly comfortable, luxurious and it multitasks. I use it for reading, lounging with my iPad, napping. The quality is very good and the price is reasonable. If I had my own furniture dealership I would sell these wonderul chairs.

This is a solid piece of furniture that is fully assembled. It is very functional with many drawers, shelves for dining ware. It has a slight distressed look which makes it even more unique. Nice Chair!

I like this chair enough to purchase a second one. Pros: Classic design. Neutral color goes well with both taupe and gray. Fabric has a rustic, worn leather look, and is easy to maintain with vacuuming and spot cleaning. Cons: The reclining mechanism is a little tight. It takes some leg strength to lower foot rest. The screw/bolt used to connect the left arm and chair body required regular tightening. It eventually sheared-off by year three. Since I didn't pay for the extended warranty (where I purchased the first one...not here), it was not covered. Nevertheless, I liked this enough to purchase a second one.

The Chatelet Fretback Sidechair is an excellent quality, heavy solid wood, well built and sturdy. Incredible depth of color and durable finish, love the antique look and open airy feeling. We see some variation of color if ordering at different times probably due to different batches, newer ones seem to be made in China now instead of the USA as previous order. They match the Boheme table perfectly as we needed a long narrow dining table. Though they are pricey, you will love this furniture by Hooker.

Huey Twin Bed and Nightstand- excellent customer service

I purchased a Huey Twin Sleigh bed and nightstand online. The next day I was contacted and made arrangements for delivery once the furniture arrived from the distributer. When the item arrived the boxes were sealed but a piece was missing. I called in and immediately received help. I applied this company for their amazing customer service! After a rough experience with another furniture store that lacked in customer service, This place a breath of fresh air. I live states away but was able to make a delivery order on this product over the phone with ease. The lady (I wish I remember her name) was very helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. After delivery fee it was still cheaper than all other sites I found this bed on. I did ask why it was so cheap and she answered with some discount they get with where they order from, but the ved is new and comes straight for manufacturers .. so that's another plus. I will update when I receive the bed.

Great rug that vacuums well!

Amazing

Excellent, I have had this sofa for 7 years now. It holds up to my dogs jumping on and off and using their paws to try and find a perfect spot to lay. The material still looks new and has no holes, even with the paws. I recently checked to see what the material is, as we are looking to get matching furniture for our new house.

Since there are 2 sides set up so that each person has their own work space. The t shape or peninsula can be used for a small third desk area if somebody sits at the end of it. If your kids are home schooled this is a perfect desk for that. Small business owners will appreciate using this desk. Only con I see is that your keyboard has to sit on top of the desk because no slide out keyboard tray was incorporated into the design. There is really no way to add one either because of the drawer and curved design under the desk top. I bought a monitor riser so I can stow the keyboard under it to make more desktop space when needed. Also this desk is a real wood beauty unlike most laminated and wood look surfaces sold these days so make sure you get a desk top mat or blotter to write on or work on because it won't take the abuse of a laminate surface.

Love this chair

I have had the chair for 8 years. The PU leather has held up well on the back. I did have to recover the seat after about 6 years, but found a material very similar and you would never know it isn't original to the chair. This issue I have had with this chair is the pneumatic cylinder replacement. Impossible. I had to purchase all new wood star base, cylinder and tilt mechanism for bottom of chair to correct the problem. And of course, this chair is no longer available! Shouldn't be that costly or difficult to do a repair / regular maintenance. Unfortunate for that, but otherwise good looking chair.

Hurricane Florence

We suffered major damage from the hurricane including this chest of drawers. When we were allowed back into the home (10 days after the storm) there was still standing water on top of the piece. I reached inside and all of my clothes were still dry. Unbelievable how well it is constructed. The top was peeling up from the massive amount of water that came through the house, but i didn't even lose a sock thanks to this furniture piece!

Our sales rep, Bibi, as well as her manager (I can't remember his name) were both very patient and helpful. We had been searching for this particular bedroom set for a long time. We visited the Howell store and the staff was not overbearing at all. There was no pressure in store while shopping, as experienced in other furniture stores. The associate in store, Terry, provided us with the best price we had seen. Come Saturday, I went on their website and saw that they had a special 10% off promotion, resulting in an overall better price for the furniture set. Two rooms of furniture!

John McGrath was our salesman. He was very helpful. John had extensive knowledge about the furniture that we wanted to buy. He told us about the features and quality of the furniture.He reviewed our order with us to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. We were given a delivery date and were surprised when they told us they could deliver it earlier. That was great! The delivery men were polite, fast, and very careful! They did a fantastic job and left our home neat and clean. John followed up with a phone call to make sure that we were 100% satisfied. He also told us to call anytime if there was an issue. We have no issues and don't anticipate any. John also told us that if we ever damaged our furniture, they had personnel that could fix it. It was a very good experience for us! Beautiful cabinet - Difficult to deliver

We love the cabinet, but it left many holes in our walls and it broke a spindle on the stairs trying to get it to the 2nd floor. Our only complaint is that there weren't enough delivery guys to handle this cabinet, which weighs over 400 pounds. They did their very best, and they managed to get the cabinet put in it's place, but I was terrified the whole time that one of them was going to get badly hurt. It was a monumental struggle. They should have had more help.

Superb Customer Service

My husband and I purchased a leather sectional with two recliners and a chaise lounge. Once it was delivered, we decided we would prefer another recliner in one of the armless pieces for optimum seating. We called back the next day and it was no big deal for them to change out the piece for us. Unfortunately when the recliner arrived, it wouldn't open properly and there was a little hidden damage at the bottom. We called them right up and Lisa Jo said she would take care of it and she ordered a replacement. Both times the pieces were in within a matter of a few days. After having the furniture for about two weeks, we noticed damage on the bottom of the chaise. We called again and I sent Lisa Jo pictures of the damage and once again, she said she would take care of it and she has ordered us a replacement. In a time when I feel we have to fight everything little thing, it has been such a pleasure to be told something will be taken care of and it is!

I ordered the Garden Walk writing desk and chest and was thrilled with both. The desk came wth many nice features in the drawers.. Both pieces were well made and look beautiful in my home office. White glove delivery is a great benefit compared to other sellers that offer only curbside delivery. Review of Recent Order: Ashley Raulo rocker recliner

Although I only placed the ordered yesterday, I would like to comment on the product and the sales team. I've seen the chair in local stores in my area, so I already knew what I was getting when ordering it online. The product is all that it says it is -- plush, comfortable, an excellent rocker-recliner. It sells in other stores & websites for lots more than what Home Living Furniture is charging for it. My experience with the sales staff in placing the order over the phone was also a very positive experience. The sales rep was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable, and assisted me responding to my questions and in placing the order. I've had experiences with other furniture companies where I was placed on hold for several minutes with no one getting back to me, another with a recorded message that drops your call at the end of it, and another where the price kept changing up and down as I asked for further information on a particular product. I would be happy to purchase from Home Living Furniture again, and look forward to receiving my new rocker recliner!

Dining room furniture - see note

I love my dining room & China closet set. Terry & Barbara were great to work with. They were so helpful. I told them what I was looking for & they pointed me in the absolute right direction. Dining table had 2 small chips on underside & they sent out their repair team quickly. Repair was fixed so well, I couldn't tell that it was ever there. I would recommend them. My daughter who is getting married next year is also looking forward to buying her furniture there.

Best Quality Br set, Great

I went in, got taken care really well, and bought a queen size bedroom complete set, paid it and everything came in within 3 weeks. Very fast shipping, and had an amazing experience with being taken care by one of the staffs in store. Would most likely recommend them ! Also, the quality of my bed and the furniture are one of the best quality in my eyes, Loooks very luxury kind and quality material.

I placed 2 orders through HL and also brought my daughter.

I sent friends who purchased a large amount of furniture. When I went to purchase a bedroom set I was told that I couldn't get the "refer a friend" discount. I wanted a quote for a bedroom set and never received a call back. I guess they just didn't want to deal with me nor my purchase.

This was my first purchase with Home Living Furniture. At first I was apprehensive due to the fact that I live in Boston and I have never made such a large purchase over the phone without seeing the products. Working with Gina M. was a pleasure.

I knew I wanted two fabric covered, skirted Parsons chairs for my dining room. As I looked through the fabrics, I thought I would have to settle for a boring, solid neutral. Gina encouraged me to share with her whatever patterns/fabrics I already had in the room. We worked together and Gina guided me to the Tiger Brown print. I loved the print independently but don't think I would have selected it on my own without her guidance. The chairs are stunning and are the focal point they deserve to be. I LOVE THEM!!!

Homeliving Review

Homeliving has excellent service and pricing on numerous brand name furniture pieces. Barbara Dwyer is an excellent consultant! She is very professional, has excellent taste, and suggestions to solve every furniture need. I return to her time and time again. Having purchased over $15,000 worth of furniture from Homeliving over the last year, my suggestion would be to have a consultation area, with a 55"+ monitor where Manufactuers web pages could be reviewed easily, since none of the pieces I purchased were from their floor displays.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Leo and his partner, the men who delivered our wall unit. The piece was very large, heavy and ungainly (although beautiful). It actually amazed me that the two of them succeeded in getting it off the truck (The truck was not equipped with a ramp or an elevator). They needed to call in a third person, Tomas to assist them in moving this piece up 15 stairs to our loft. With much effort, they succeeded in this without either damaging the piece or marking our wall or banister. They worked very hard and they deserve kudos for their ethic and their professionalism.

Very Good Customer Service

We ordered an entertainment center by phone. Barabara was very helpful on the phone and helped explain the different pieces that comprised the unit, as well as how it compared with other pieces we were considering. She was very easy to work with and our furniture was exactly as described. The only hitch was with delivery in that deliveries to our area are limited to 2 days a week. However, the store was very helpful in trying to accommodate us, as was the delivery service. The delivery service also did a great job of assembling the unit and removing the packing material. I would not hesitate to work with Barbara again if we need furniture in the future. Thank you very much.

Outstanding in so many ways

First let me just start off by saying that the quality and deals that Home Living offers is phenomenal. Nowhere else can you find a combination of the two. But on top of that - their service is top notch. I'm not someone who usually reviews or writes a testimonial, but in this case - it's more than warranted - especially with what occurred a few weeks ago. I purchased a mattress from Home Living and after 2 years it began developing a dip. I contacted Home Living to discuss, and sent a few pictures of what the problem was. Within a day I had received an email stating that they would replace it - for free! This just speaks to the level of their customer service and care. From a quality, price, and service standpoint you can't beat this place. I recommend it to all of my friends (and it doesn't hurt that I get some rewards through their refer-a-friend program. If you're shopping for furniture and want a great deal, this is the place to go. You won't be sorry.

On October 24, 2013, I had the pleasure of shopping at Home Living . I was even more fortunate in having Gina M as my sales rep. I was shopping for a sleeper/sofa and Gina provided me with guidance and design suggestions. I had just moved into a small house and my family was flying in for the Thanksgiving holiday. I needed a sleeper sofa and I needed it within 30 days. Although, this couch was a custom order, Gina did everything she could do to get me my purchase by Thanksgiving. She tracked the production and shipment, made many calls and most importantly kept me up to date on the status. Mother nature decided to get into the act and brought us a Nor'Easter slowing up delivery. However, on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, my beautiful couch arrived. I have been been furnishing homes for over 30 years and know that custom orders take more time to receive. However, the dedication and persistence in getting my order to me went above and beyond Gina's responsibility. Her interest in my order did not end after I signed the sales receipt on October 24th. Gina is the reason people continue to shop at Home Living. There is no price tag that can be placed on personal service. I recently went back to shop for (4) dining room chairs. This is a small purchase in comparison to furnishing an entire room. However, Gina treated me like my purchase was important and provided me with the same quality service I received before. I look forward to more shopping experiences at Home Living and working with Gina M again and again!
